It’s back to business with a bang. We have sent out an e-mail shot and had our best response ever. A lot of repeat business which I love and some new deals too. Everybody wants a Skydancer or two!
Our Technical Support and Rentals Assistant now has his driver’s licence and has already done his first delivery. All part of the plan for me to work less in the business and more on the business.
To that end I have also spent a fair amount of time working on systems and procedures in the last few weeks and I’m happy with the progress. This week my office manager comes back to work so it will be the perfect time to test if what I’ve written can be followed.
Dr Greg Chapman shared about Systems (amongst other things) on the www.hbba.biz forum: http://forums.micronavigator.com.au/viewtopic.php?p=713#713 Valuable information.
Well, have a great 2008!

Holidays are great! We took a road trip to Sydney and loved it. Viewed the harbour from a jet boat! How amazing! http://ozjetboating.com/files/OzJet6.mpg
Short and sweet. Still in holiday mode.

Running a business has plenty of emotional ups and downs as well as highs and lows when it comes to income. Often the two can be related
The temptation is to work harder at times when business slows down but I’m starting to think those quieter seasons are there for a reason. What would it be like to use those times to recharge and relax? Perhaps we would come back energised and refreshed, ready to take on new challenges. Maybe we would have new ideas and a more positive attitude which could possibly lead to being more effective and even more productive. Could this translate to more income? The idea may not be new and may be logical to most out there but for workaholics it could be revolutionary. I for one plan to try it.
Have a wonderful Christmas season.

Just love the press release written for us by Kathie of http://fixmybusiness.com.au :
WHAT’S RED & WHITE, FULL OF HOT AIR AND MAKING LOADS OF MONEY?
Santa of course!!!! Well he will be on the 8th of December at Brisbane’s Christmas Italian Festival, being held to raise money for the Mater Children’s Hospital.
We’ve seen him in so many forms, Santa in a train, Santa on a plane, Santa in a Ute but have you ever seen a Santa that’s 6 metres tall with arms waving madly and full of hot air?
This is exactly the sight that will greet visitors at the Brisbane Abruzzo Club when they celebrate their Christmas Italian Festival on the 8th of December. The club has enlisted the support of Skydancers Australia to help raise funds for the Mater Children’s Hospital.
Skydancers Australia will be one of the sponsors of the event and will be providing the club with their stunning inflatable Santa Skydancers to greet visitors to the festival.
Sandy Collins, Managing Director of Skydancers Australia, says “we have been involved with fundraising for the Mater Children’s Hospital for a number of years and it’s a fantastic organisation that deserves the support of the local community to assist in raising much needed funds for medical equipment. It is a pleasure to be able to assist by supplying our Skydancers to cheer everyone up and rally the Christmas spirit”.
The festival will be held this Saturday the 8th of December 2007 at the Brisbane Abruzzo Club, 150 Fursden Road, Carina from 4.30pm – 9pm. The entrance fee to the event is by gold coin donation or a new pair of children’s pyjamas. All funds raised will be donated to the Mater Children’s Hospital to assist in purchasing medical equipment.
Hope to see you there.

Balloon people, Sky Guys, Wobbly Dancers, Air Dancers, Inflatable Promotional Characters, Tube dudes, Wacky Wavy Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Men … Whatever you call Skydancers, you certainly can’t ignore them. Their bright colours and active motion attract attention, create a festive atmosphere and draw the crowds!
We saw a Skydancer from a train just over 3 years ago and just knew this was the business for us. It hasn’t all been plain sailing but worth every minute! Three years down the track, we have grown more than we dared to imagine and we feel very blessed.

I plan to share some of the ups and downs of running our business as well as some tips or sayings which I have found inspiring in the hope of encouraging and perhaps even touching a life or two.
Yesterday’s history, tomorrow’s a mystery, but today’s a gift, that’s why they call it the present. Enjoy!
